13 November 2009 - Always Innovating has released version 2009-11.a of the Touch Book Operating System. The November shipment is shipping with it installed and the beta users are busy upgrading to it. Comments are trickling in.

8 November 2009 - The last month has been relatively quiet for news about the Touch Book. This is a sign of the slow grind that is going on among the beta users and the staff over at Always Innovating. Most of what has been going has been software tweaks. The only major announcement has been the addition of a solution for the tipping problem. AI is also on track to release the latest version of the OS.

13 October 2009 - The September batch of Touch Books is gradually making its way into the hands of users. With the delivery of the latest batch, we are getting to see a lot more images and reviews about the Touch Book floating around the web.

In particular, Innovating Touch member fbott, has been filling our forums with photos, impressions, useful little hacks and other details about his new Touch Book.

Gregoire Gentil has also made an announcement recently regarding the current state of affairs with the Touch Book and the status of the September batch.

26 September 2009 - Yesterday, Mr. Gentil announced the release of the Touch Book OS version 2009-09b. This new version brings with it searchable and stable Hulu video, an iPhone game, the enhanced eBook reader seen on video a few days ago, improved Flash operation in Firefox as well as the latest version of Firefox.

Numerous other fixes and additions are also included.

23 September 2009 - With the recent announcement that a fresh batch of Touch Books will be shipping before the end of September, Mr. Gentil has given us some more great videos to see the device in action.

Here are three videos demonstrating some outstanding features. One of the most exciting is page flipping shown in the customized eReader. This gives the reader excellent visual feedback and is definitely a fantastic feature. He also demonstrates an iPhone game ported to the Touch Book as well as an implementation for YouTube and Hulu videos. Well done, Gregoire!

9 September 2009 - Yesterday, Always Innovating released a significant upgrade to the Touch Book operating system. Version 2009-09a includes a number of improvements and enhancements. In addition, Mr Gentil has issued a call for help from the open-source community:

With the release of 2009-09.a and the hardware September batch scheduled for the end of this month, we are reaching an important milestone as we consider that there is no major additional development needed. Therefore, our objective for the coming couple of months is really to stabilize and improve the product vs. develop new features. We think that the community has an important role to play and we want to accelerate this new phase.
